A career at Austin Health

We have a strong commitment to staff education and supervision. We provide opportunities for career development in research, leadership, quality improvement, and digital health.

  • Research: Austin Health is recognised as a leader in research and our statewide transplant services are leading the way in international research. Within Allied Health we are committed to supporting our clinicians to undertake high quality clinical research, which can then be translated into providing the very best care to our patients.
  • Quality improvement: Improving the way we do things is part of our everyday practice at Austin Health. We provide training for our clinicians to learn about improvement methodology and support and coaching for our clinicians to implement this into their work – which improves the care for our patients.
  • Clinical supervision: Clinical supervision is an integral part of our practice at Austin Health. We provide clinical supervision to every staff member (at every grade) and we provide training to our supervisors to ensure they have the skills to provide this supervision. Supporting and developing our staff is one of our highest priorities.
  • Clinical Education: Education to both staff and students is a core component of our practice. We strive to offer education which is interdisciplinary, contemporary and invests in developing the specialised skills of our workforce. Read more about Allied Health education on our main website.
  • Early Graduate Support Program: We offer an early graduate support program to all our new graduates. This support program provides an opportunity to connect with Allied Health professionals across all Allied Health disciplines. Recent graduates are automatically enrolled and the program is run each year from March to July. Read more about our Graduate Physiotherapy Program.
