About Austin Health Pathology Bendigo

Austin Health Pathology Bendigo is a core laboratory offering services of Biochemistry, Blood Transfusion, Haematology and Microbiology services. The Bendigo Laboratory operates 24/7 supporting Bendigo Health hospital, as well as providing services to surrounding hospitals, GPs, and specialists from across the region.

About the role 

The Bendigo Laboratory is seeking a keen professional to join our team. We are currently looking to fill a full time role in our specimen reception department. 

A regular day will see you:   

• Sort and distribute all samples as they arrive at the laboratory.
• Register specimens and request details into the Laboratory Information System (LIS).
• Operate and maintain basic laboratory equipment as required.
• Deliver specimens within the laboratory.
   

About you 

You will be someone who has excellent communication skills, with a strong commitment to excellence in patient care. You’ll bring energy and drive to your work and have a keen interest in developing your skillset.

To be successful in the role, you’ll bring with you: 

• Laboratory experience.
• Ability to enter data accurately.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and in a team situation.
