- Ward Clerk - Cardiac Cath Lab
- Fixed term: 8 hours (0730-1600hrs Monday's) per week
- This is a Long Service leave cover position until 25th February 2029

About Cardiology department/SAPM division
The Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratory (CCL) is located on Level 5 North Austin Tower and provides a diagnostic and interventional service for patients with cardiovascular disease. The normal operating times are from 0730-1830 hours Monday to Friday. The CCL also has 24 hours 7 days per week on call service for emergency procedures. There is a day recovery area for patient management pre and post cardiac procedures.
About the role
A regular day will see you:
- Supporting the administration needs of the ward
- Answering phones and greeting patient visitors
- Preparing patient files to be sent to medical records
- Maintaining patient confidentiality
- Collaborating with nursing and other teams to promote prompt and efficient communication with patients and their families
About you
As the Ward clerk, You will be someone who has excellent communication skills, with a strong commitment to excellence in patient care. You’ll bring energy and drive to your work, and have a keen interest in developing your skillset.
To be successful in this role, you'll bring with you:
- Customer service and teamwork experience
- Sound administrative skills
- Basic IT skills
- An understanding of and commitment to patient confidentiality
