  •  20 hours weekly from 1600-2000 Monday to Friday

About Ward 5 West

Ward 5 West is a 28 bed acute medical ward belonging to the Division of Medical Services. The Service consists of the following areas: Respiratory High Dependency Unit (HDU), The Victorian Respiratory Support Service (VRSS), The Ventilation Weaning Unit (VWU), Sleep Laboratory and Infectious Diseases Unit. 5 West cares for patients with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), respiratory failure, chest infections and Asthma.     

 

About the role

A regular day will see you:    

  • Providing effective phone support and acting as the main point of contact for patient and staff inquiries. 
  • Delivering excellent customer service to all stakeholders, ensuring a positive experience. 
  • Supporting the Nursing and Medical teams in their daily duties. 
  • Managing administrative tasks, including accurate data entry and record-keeping. 
  • Applying a flexible and innovative approach to work processes. 

  

About you  

You will have excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to providing outstanding patient care. You’ll bring energy, drive, and a proactive attitude to your work, with a keen interest in developing your skillset. 

 

To be successful in this role you’ll bring with you: 

  • Proven excellence in customer service and communication, both verbal and written. 
  • Strong time management and prioritisation skills. 
  • The ability to work autonomously and as part of a dynamic team while maintaining a professional demeanour. 
  • Developed computer and administrative skills, with a focus on accurate data management.
