About the North Eastern Melbourne Integrated Cancer Service and Victorian Integrated Cancer Services
NEMICS is funded by the Victorian Department of Health and is one of nine cancer services improvement networks. We deliver strategic cancer services improvement aligned with the Victorian Cancer Plan, VICS Strategy, Optimal Care Pathways, and local priorities. Our team delivers excellence, innovation, collaboration, and initiatives with impact. Our program utilises evidence, data, and co-design to deliver innovative cancer services improvement.

The Victorian Integrated Cancer Services (VICS) are Victoria’s cancer services improvement network. The VICS are funded by the Victorian Department of Health. Together we deliver strategic cancer services improvement aligned with the Victorian Cancer Plan, VICS Strategy, and Optimal Care Pathways.
About the role
The VICS Optimal Care Summits Program Manager is an important leadership role, responsible for delivering the VICS Optimal Care Summits program. The purpose of the role is to provide operational leadership, program management, comprehensive communication and engagement, cancer evidence and data literacy, excellent organisation and time management, and program evaluation expertise to deliver the VICS Optimal Care Summits program. To contribute to the reduction of unwarranted variations in Victorian cancer care for tumour streams, priority populations and/or priority Optimal Care Pathway steps.
About you
To be successful in this role you’ll bring with you:
- 5+ years of experience in cancer care, registries and/or clinical governance in a hospital setting.
- Post graduate qualification in public health, health policy, epidemiology, or equivalent combination of industry experience.
- Excellent communication and engagement skills.
- Experience delivering cancer services improvement projects and/or quality management.
- Excellent report writing skills including experience delivering evaluation reports, manuscripts, and/or data visualisation.
- Experience with cancer datasets, data analysis, and/or data literacy skills.
