About the Finance Department

The Finance Department provides services covering FP&A, incorporating budgeting and financial analysis, Financial Accounting, incorporating Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable (patient billing and sundry debtors) Private Practice administration, Cash Management. The total revenue of the hospital is approximately $1.5 billion per annum. 

 

About the role 

Reporting to the Financial Accountant Revenue, the role is responsible maintaining accurate financial records, performing banking reconciliations, liaising with internal and external stakeholders and assisting in managing public funds in accordance with Austin Health policies and procedures. You will also support the team’s purpose to drive a strong financial control culture through partnership and evaluation.

 

A regular day will see you:   

  • Managing treasury records 
  • Working with internal and external stakeholders
  • Supporting the team with internal and external reporting requirements

 

About you 

As the Treasury Officer, you will be someone who has excellent communication skills, with a strong commitment to excellence in patient care. You’ll bring energy and drive to your work, and have a keen interest in developing your skillset.

 

To be successful in this role you’ll bring with you:

  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to work accurately with numbers
  • Ability to work independently or within a team
  • Strong reconciliation skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Sound analytical skills, ability to interpret data and provide recommendations
