About EMR Services

The ICT and EMR environment include business critical information systems and multi-campus data and telecommunications networks. It supports over 8,000 staff, computers, applications, Microsoft Windows, Unix servers and multiple database products and telecommunication devices. The EMR services office is located at the Austin Campus; however, staff are required to work across all Austin Health campuses as required.

The EMR team:

  • Provides application support for the Cerner millennium clinical system 
  • Is responsible for business continuity and system outage management 
  • Has a positive collaborative and innovative team environment 
  • Collaborates with clinicians to co-design new ways of working in a digital environment  

 

About the role 

The EMR Test lead is responsible for the testing, quality assurance, and release readiness for the Cerner (Oracle Health Millennium) application,  interfaces, data, and integrations—to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant delivery for a 12‑month project piloting the Cerner Mobility solution and digitising Ambulatory services documentation across Austin Health.

As the Test Lead Ambulatory Project , You will be someone who has excellent communication skills, with a strong commitment to excellence in patient care. You’ll bring energy and drive to your work, and have a keen interest in developing your skillset.

 

To be successful in this role you’ll bring with you:

  • Proven leadership of testing/quality assurance for Cerner (Oracle Health Millennium) in a complex health service or equivalent safety critical environment 
  • Expert and experience in test design and execution techniques 
  • Integration competence including HL7 v2 messaging, FHIR APIs, device integration concepts, and interface engines. 
  • Proficiency in defect and release management  
  • Proven ability to work both independently and in a complex team environment; collaborate with external and internal professionals and othercustomers    
  • Proven communication skills: able to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel within theorganization    
  • Proven ability to work independently with minimalsupervision    
  • Strong customer focus
