About ICYMHS
The Infant Child and Youth Mental Health Service (ICYMHS) sits within the Mental Health Division (MHD) and provides tertiary mental health services to the north-eastern catchment of Melbourne (currently the local government areas of Banyule, Boroondara, Darebin, Nillumbik, Whittlesea, and Yarra). Young people eligible for the service are aged 0-25 years.
About the role
Austin ICYMHS has Speech Pathologists across the service, with a professional structure that provides opportunities for growth and development. The Speech Pathology Clinical Educator will provide education and support for the speech pathology graduates within the graduate program.
This role will be responsible for liaising with other relevant stakeholders, speech pathology graduate workforce learning and development needs and providing leadership around training and education for the allied health graduates. Some travel across the Austin Health catchment will be required.
About you
You will be someone with excellent communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills, who has strong organisational and time management skills and a strong curiosity around the relationship between communication and mental health.
To be successful in this role you’ll bring with you:
- Extensive experience in speech pathology within a mental health setting,
- Demonstrated knowledge and skills in training and education for speech pathology.
