About the Radiology Department
The Radiology Department operates at both the Austin and the Heidelberg Repatriation Hospitals and provides a comprehensive range of diagnostic and interventional radiology services to the patients of Austin Health and the surrounding community.
The Austin Radiology Department provides an extensive range of services to inpatient, emergency, and outpatient clinics, including a range of private referrals. The Repatriation Radiology Department provides services to a large volume of outpatient clinics, externally referred patients and some inpatients.
About the role
We are seeking a Grade 3 or 4 Sonographer to join our Radiology department on a fixed term, part time basis.
A regular day will see you:
- Be patient focused in the efficient delivery of timely, high quality medical imaging examinations
- Understand the principles of safety in the practice of medical imaging procedures, patient interaction, and associated tasks
- Contribute to an environment of multidisciplinary teamwork, maintaining a flexible approach
- Work rotating shifts across the Radiology Departments at the Austin and Heidelberg Repatriation Hospitals
About you
You will be someone who has excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to excellence in patient care. You’ll bring energy and drive to your work and have a keen interest in developing your skillset.
To be successful in this role you’ll bring with you:
- A Post graduate qualification in Medical Diagnostic Ultrasound
- Registered as an Accredited Medical Sonographer with the Australian Sonographers Accreditation Registry.
- The desire to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
