Exciting opportunity for a Senior Mental Health Clincian to join the Northern Community Youth Team

About the Northern Youth Community Team

The Northern Youth Community Team is part of the broader Austin Infant, Child and Youth Mental Health Service (ICYMHS), providing mental health services to young people aged 12-18 and families located across the Whittlesea Local Government Area and suburb of Reservoir. The team is well established and conveniently located within the Epping Community Services Hub, supporting access to care and collaboration with other services. ICYMHS is currently going through a process of exciting change as we embed Royal Commission recommendations, and continue expansion of services up to the age of 25.

 

About the role

We are seeking a Mental Health clinician to join our team and fill a fixed term part-time position until 17/1/25. The position is open to mental health nurses, clinical psychologists, social workers, occupational therapists or speech pathologists with relevant mental health experience.

 

About you

To be successful in this role you'll bring with you:

Professional qualification in Clinical Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Psychiatric Nursing, or Speech Pathology

A recovery-oriented, trauma-informed and family-centred approach

Strong clinical reasoning and decision-making skills

Expertise in engaging young people and their families within a clinical setting
