About the Department
The HR Shared Services (HRSS) Department is part of the broader People and Culture Directorate. It is a well-regarded operations function, consisting of teams that provide accurate and efficient HR services across the organisation. With a focus on service excellence and customer-centricity, the HRSS teams work collaboratively together and with the broader People and Culture function to support employees and managers through the employee life cycle. HRSS includes payroll, salary packaging, HR services and HR systems.
About the role
Reporting to the HR Services & Salary Packaging Manager, the Senior Consultant, Workforce Architecture is a central role responsible for managing the design, establishment, and maintenance of all positions across Austin Health. You will implement systems and processes that ensure position data integrity, support organisational design, and enable strategic workforce planning.
A regular day will see you:
- Developing and maintaining frameworks and tools that support consistent and compliant position management practices.
- Leading ongoing data cleansing and validation efforts to maintain the accuracy and strategic alignment of position and job data.
- Overseeing the position approval process, ensuring all documentation aligns with governance standards.
- Acting as a subject matter expert for Position Management, supporting strategic P&C projects and initiatives like job architecture
About you
To be successful in this role, you'll bring with you:
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in position management and the governance of HR processes.
- Professional experience in business systems, including well-developed business and needs analysis skills, ideally within a People and Culture environment.
- An ability to combine analytical, technical, and strategic expertise to design and manage effective Position Management processes.
- Proven experience and high-level capability with an ERP application (such as SAP, Workday or Oracle).
