About the Security Department

The Security Services Department, within the Information and Services Directorate services 3 sites and Mercy Hospital for Women. The department is an in-house service and operates 24/7.

 

About the role

A regular day will see you:

  • Supervising security operations at the Austin Health Latrobe University Vaccination Clinic
  • Leadership of all Security Staff as per shift across all campuses
  • Ensure all security staff/contractors are on duty and on time
  • Direct security staff/contractors as required for security operational requirement
  • Responding to requests from Austin Health

 

About you

As the Security Shift Leader, You will be someone who has excellent communication skills, with a strong commitment to excellence in patient care. You’ll bring energy and drive to your work, and have a keen interest in developing your skillset.

 

To be successful in this role, you'll bring with you:

  • Hold and maintain a current level II Security / Crowd Controllers licence and First Aid Certificate
  • To be reliable and commitment to Austin Health values.
  • The ability to lead a team
  • The ability to show restraint and control in dealing with difficult situations
  • The ability to compile detailed reports
  • To be able to work unsupervised
  • To be able to work in a team environment
  • To be able to take initiative and identify new opportunities for improvement
