About the Department of Respiratory and Sleep Medicine
Austin Health provides expert Respiratory, Sleep, and Ventilation services across the inpatient, outpatient, and community outreach settings. The department conducts world leading research, and is home to the Statewide Victorian Respiratory Support Service (VRSS). Our diagnostic services provide Sleep Disorders and Respiratory Function testing across multiple laboratory locations via onsite and home based technologies. The Respiratory and Sleep Medicine Administration Team is integral to the department's operation, providing customer service, coordination of patient appointments, data management, results distribution, and billing.
About the role
The Sleep Laboratory Administration Assistant works collaboratively with the Sleep Scientists and VRSS team to effectively manage the patient bookings for inpatient, outpatient, and home sleep studies. The position is based at the Austin Campus, and provides professional, customer focused service for the department. This is an on-going position working 16 hours per week.
A regular day will see you:
- Manage and co-ordinate sleep study bookings
- Perform sleep study billing
- Support the department with a variety of administrative tasks
About you
As the Sleep Laboratory Administration Assistant, you will be someone who has excellent communication skills, with a strong commitment to excellence in patient care. You’ll bring energy and drive to your work, and have a keen interest in developing your skillset.
