About our Centre

CREDO (Centre for Research and Education in Diabetes and Obesity) is located at the Repatriation Hospital Campus of Austin Health and is tiered within the Medical Services Division. CREDO has a strong and successful history in conducting numerous clinical trials in metabolic disorders with a majority of trials focusing on diabetes and obesity.  CREDO continues to grow and thrive, enabling another exciting opportunity for a Research Administration Coordinator to join the team in a part-time fixed term position.

 

About the role

The successful candidate will join an established team within the CREDO unit and will be responsible for managing financial administration and general administrative coordination. Key responsibilities include supporting financial processes such as budgeting, invoicing, and financial reporting. The role also involves assisting with clinical trial administration, ensuring compliance with research ethics requirements, and facilitating effective collaboration with sponsors and regulatory authorities.

Additionally, this role may include supporting clinical-trial-related requirements such as data collection and maintenance of essential trial documents for concurrent studies.

 

About you

As the Research Administration Coordinator, you will be someone who has excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail and dedicated to collaborative teamwork in support of excellence in patient care. You’ll bring energy and drive to your work and have a keen interest in developing your skillset. 

To be successful in this role, you'll bring with you:

  • University degree (or equivalent) in science, healthcare or financial discipline
  • Experience or qualification in financial management including tracking, reporting, budgeting and invoicing
  • Excellence in proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with data entry
