About Ward 7 East
Ward 7 East Belongs to the Medical & Cancer Service Division in the Austin Tower. 7 East a 32-bed Acute General Medical Ward which specialises in caring for the elderly and cognitively diverse behaviours.
About the role
The ANUM role helps manage and is responsible for the day-to-day provision of care to the patients and is heavily involved in the patient discharge planning with the multidisciplinary team. The role also helps manage staff ensuring standards meet professional, organisation, legal and ethical requirements in conjunction with the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM).
A regular day will see you:
- Assume an expert clinical leader role
- Ensure patient care standards are met
- Being a Patient Advocate from admission to discharge planning alongside the multidisciplinary team
- Manage and obtain ward budget
- Encourage nursing staff to maintain their own professional development whilst guiding them with their Performance Review & Development yearly
