  • Salary Range: $33.79–$37.35 p/hr ($1,284–$1,420 p/w) + 12% super

About Ballarat Austin Radiation Oncology Centre

About the role 

As the Radiotherapy Bookings Specialist, you’ll play a key role in coordinating all radiotherapy-related bookings, registration, and planning activities at BAROC. You will ensure accurate and timely scheduling of radiotherapy appointments, support patient-facing administrative workflows, and collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to deliver efficient, patient-centred services.

 

A regular day will see you:   

  • Schedule radiotherapy planning and treatment appointments in ARIA in line with clinical and departmental priorities
  • Liaise with internal and external services (e.g., Urology, Imaging, Chemotherapy, Cardiology, Dental) to ensure pre-treatment requirements are met
  • Act as the first point of contact for patients regarding appointment and treatment information
  • Coordinate ancillary services such as patient transport, accommodation, and interpreter support
  • Maintain accurate documentation and timely updates in ARIA and other systems
  • Contribute to process improvement and teamwork within the BAROC admin team

  • Previous experience in a customer or patient-facing role
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Confidence using clinical information systems and Microsoft Office
  • Flexibility, initiative, and a collaborative attitude
