  • 3 x Full time, Permanent Grade  1 or 2 RT Positions
  • 2 x Fixed term-Full time Grade  1 or 2 RT Positions-6mo
  • Ballarat location, 9-day fortnight
  • $81,589 - $114,094 base (includes 10% regional allowance), salary packaging, super (pro rata)

  • Permanent Roles-12 months of rental assistance support, up to $390 per/week.

About BAROC:  

Ballarat Austin Radiation Oncology Centre (BAROC) is located within the Ballarat Regional Integrated Cancer Centre (BRICC) and is operated by Austin Health. Ballarat is a vibrant regional hub offering easy access to Melbourne, Surf Coast Shire beaches, and the greater Grampians region.   • 2 x Varian Trilogy Linear accelerators, with online image guidance, 6DoF robotic couch, Respiratory Gating, DIBH and VMAT treatment delivery: Capital replacement in progress, with Varian Truebeam Linacs equipped with Surface Guidance (Vision RT) and Stereoscopic Imaging (Brainlab) planned for release mid 2026.
  • Dedicated SABR treatment program utilising DCAT treatment delivery.
  • Siemens definition AS 64 CT suite & Elekta planning system.
  • Electronic medical record (EMR) using ARIA 15 Oncology Information System.
  • Integration with a range of affiliated services, including Medical Oncology, Clinical Trials, and a Wellness centre offering a broad range of support programs to promote our patients’ health in mind, body, and spirit.
  • Remote SXRT service based in Stawell (local unit installation upcoming).
  • Strong collaboration with our metropolitan site in Heidelberg, enabling cross-campus support, communication, and knowledge sharing.

 

About the role:

Multiple opportunities for a Grade 1 or 2 radiation therapist to join a dynamic team environment and provide high-quality radiation therapy planning and treatment to a growing service and region. 

 

Your responsibilities and requirements include the ability to:

  • Exercise independent professional judgement in achieving optimal solutions for radiotherapy planning and treatment tasks, problem-solving and personal organisation (time management). 
  • Demonstrate excellent teamwork abilities, working with the multidisciplinary team towards department goals.
  • Actively contribute to the development of new procedures, embrace new technology, and innovate to promote safe, efficient, and modern service delivery.
  • Demonstrate experience and understanding of the need for continuation of both personal and professional development that leads to the improvement of services.
  • Follow established radiation safety practices.

You will be someone who has excellent communication skills, with a strong commitment to excellence in patient care. You’ll bring energy and drive to your work and have a keen interest in developing your skillset.

To be successful in this role you’ll bring with you:

  • Current AHPRA registration and Victorian use licence are required.
