About the Service Improvement and Innovation Team

The Service Improvement and Innovation Team reports through to the Strategy, and Sustainability Directorate, and enables an enterprise approach to improvement and innovation, and project management. The focus of the Service Improvement and Innovation function is on improvement projects with an organisation wide impact; service improvement and innovation support; coaching and capability building in improvement and project methodologies; and to support the development of staff engagement in service improvement and innovation.

 

About the role

An exciting opportunity for an experienced and highly motivated Program Manager to join Austin Health's Service Improvement and Innovation Team. This role will be instrumental in leading the delivery of key strategic improvement and transformation projects to achieve better outcomes for patients, carers, staff and our community. An integral member of the Service Improvement and Innovation Team and a leader in service improvement and project and change management within Austin Health, this role will work collaboratively with leaders, staff, consumers and other key stakeholders to support the organisation to achieve its purpose of helping people live healthy, productive and fulfilled lives.

 

A regular day will see you:

  • Work collaboratively with leaders to develop, implement, evaluate and integrate sustainable service improvement and transformation.
  • Support leaders and frontline staff to achieve significant service improvement and transformation through changes in policy, models of care, systems, processes and practices
  • Engage internal and external stakeholders to ensure our service improvement and transformation responds to the needs of our community and our staff

 

About you

You will be a highly motivated professional who brings energy and enthusiasm to their work each day. You’ll be an experienced and inspiring leader who can engage, coordinate, and influence a broad range of stakeholders, including senior clinical leaders, to collectively deliver sustainable system change.

 

You’ll further have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a health or management discipline. A relevant post graduate qualification is desirable
  • A proven track record in health system improvement and transformation through large scale and complex project management
  • Demonstrated experience in effectively engaging stakeholders, building strategic partnerships and communicating with influence at all levels
  • The ability to support and motivate teams to successfully deliver innovative service change
  • Demonstrated experience in engaging consumers, carers and staff in meaningful participation and codesign
  • Have a passion for making a difference, maintaining the focus on positive outcomes and experience for our consumers, carers, staff, and community
