About the department
The operating suites at Austin and Repat complete surgerycovering a multitude of surgical disciplines including transplant,cardiac, neuro, complex orthopaedic and head and neck. The departments work closely with key stakeholders to deliver high quality evidence based care and strive for positve patient outcomes

 

About the role

The Perioperative Services Inventory and Equipment Manager is amember of a multidisciplinary team who works in colaborationwith numerous stakeholders to oversee the timely and cost effective acquisition of services and equipment. The role is responsible for financial analysis and evaluation of equipment and services. This person leads a small team of staff that manage the day to day requirements of both campuses to ensure timely and correct ordering, repair and replacement of required items.
A regular day will see you:

  • Managing multilpe contracts, equipment and maintenance agreements
  • Managing budget requirments for quotation, trial, puchaseand maintenance of items
  • Liaising with key stakeholders to eusure an evidence based approach to equipment acquisition and contract management
  • Identifying and providing education in conjunction withclinical educators according to need
  • Provide reports and maintain registers
  • Manage a small team to ensure a high level of service delivery.
