About Ward 6 West
Ward 6 West is part of the Surgery; Anaesthesia and Procedural Medicine division of Austin Health. The ward is an acute inpatient unit caring for Neurosurgical; Vascular Surgical and Ear Nose and Throat surgical patients.
About the role
The PSA role is responsible for working with the nursing team by facilitating patient flow; waste management; patient movement; cleaning and tea and coffee provision.
About you
The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal skills with a motivation to provide quality care to our patients and families. Highly developed verbal communication skills are essential as is the ability to work collaboratively within a team. Sound knowledge of Infection Control practices are required to prevent risk to our patients and an ability to be flexible and adaptable to suit the requirements of the ward are highly valued. A friendly and open nature and hard woking attitude is required for the PSA role.
