·         Full Time, 40 hrs per week (38+ADO)

About Pathology Home Visit department

Austin Pathology provides a home visit service to patients that are unable to attend Austin collection centres due to ill health or physical limitations. 

 

About the role

This position requires relevant experience in Pathology Collection Home Visit requirements, processes and customer service, together with a general knowledge of Pathology. The Home Visit Coordinator will be responsible for the management of bookings/allocations of the Home Visit Cars and staff. They will ensure that all Home Visit criteria/safety requirements are met, to ensure a safe environment for staff to attend a property/facility for patients who are physically unable to attend a collection centre. They are also required to manage stock ordering and coordination of staff for the packing of consumables orders.  

 

A regular day will see you:

  •          Coordination of all aspects of the work and activities for the Home Visit and Stores across the network  
  • Liaising with both Austin Medical staff as well as external practitioners/clients to ensure bookings are scheduled accordingly 
  • Ensure all procedures, training and documentation are kept up to date 
  • Answer queries from staff and clients

As the Home Visit Coordinator, You will be someone who has excellent communication skills, with a strong commitment to excellence in patient care. You’ll bring energy and drive to your work, and have a keen interest in developing your skillset.

  • Excellent computer skills with ability to learn new programs quickly  
  • A commitment and enthusiasm for the job with strong work ethic
  •  Demonstrated ability to function autonomously within a work environment
