Our Occupational Therapy department at Austin Health is a bustling hub of patient-centered care, continuous improvement, professional growth and supportive career structures. Our focus is on wellbeing, evidence-based service improvement, sustainable workforce, and growth and development.  

 

About the role 

This role will join our collaborative and welcoming team where you'll have the opportunity to work in a supportive culture where high-quality supervision and on-the-job skills training are priority, enabling you to excel in your role and continue your professional growth. We offer opportunities to rotate across clinical areas and into a research role. 

 

A regular day will see you:   

  • Deliver excellent clinical care:You will complete person-centred assessments, intervention and complex discharge planning to achieve positive patient outcomes in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team.  
  • Participate in quality supervision and training: You will receive routine clinical supervision and have access to quality teaching from experienced staff. You will be supported to deliver clinical supervision and training to grade 1 OT staff.  
  • Contribute to a positive workplace culture that prioritises wellbeing and personal growth  
  • Contribute to continuous improvement:Collaborate on research, quality improvement or clinical education initiatives your service area, under the guidance of a leadership team that pushes boundaries to deliver exceptional patient care.
