About Ballarat Austin Radiation Oncology Centre

Ballarat Austin Radiation Oncology Centre (BAROC) is located within the Ballarat Regional Integrated Cancer Centre (BRICC) and operated by Austin Health. About the role 

This position offers an opportunity to join a dynamic team environment and provide high-quality administration support to a growing service and region.

 

A regular day will see you:

  • Greeting patients, families (& carers) and hospital staff in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Assisting patients, referrers & hospital staff with enquiries either in person, over the phone, email or fax.
  • Support the daily operations of the centre.
  • Perform general administrative and clinic duties.
  • Assist with booking, rescheduling, and confirming appointments.
  • Manage incoming/outgoing patient correspondence, and maintenance of filing/record systems within Radiation Oncology.

 

About you 

To be successful in this role, you'll bring with you:

  • Previous experience in a customer or patient facing role.
  • Ability to establish and maintain a professional rapport with patients and staff.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organisational and communication skills.
  • Sound computer skills including accurate typing, clinical information systems and experience with a MS Office suite.
