About the Department
The Medical and Cancer Services Division is one of six divisions within the Chief Operations Officer Directorate of Austin Health. The Division’s clinical services operate across all three Austin Health campuses and Ballarat Health Services (BHS) within the Ballarat Regional Integrated Cancer Centre (BRICC) and comprise a complex range of national, state-wide organizational wide and specialty clinical services.

About the role
Help Shape the Future of Radiation Oncology in Ballarat.
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Medical Physicist to lead the commissioning of two new linear accelerators as part of an exciting expansion in Ballarat, Victoria. This is a rare opportunity to make a lasting impact on a growing regional cancer service and be part of a passionate, forward-thinking team.
As the lead physicist on this pivotal project, a regular day will see you:
- Oversee and execute the commissioning of two state-of-the-art linacs
- Collaborate with radiation oncologists, radiation therapists, and engineering teams
- Implement quality assurance programs and safety protocols
- Lay the groundwork for advanced treatment techniques and future innovations
