About the department

The department of Anatomical Pathology provides services to over 20 public hospitals in metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria. It is the one of the largest public Anatomical Pathology departments in Victoria.

 

About the role

The Department of Anatomical Pathology are seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician (temporary maternity leave backfill until February 2025) evening shift, full time or part time job share to rotate through routine Histology, IHC, frozen sections and direct transfer cut-up.

As a Medical laboratory technician at Austin Health, you will work collaboratively with a supportive team of professionals including technicians, scientists and pathologists. You’ll enjoy our continuing education and quality improvement strategies.

 

About you

You will be someone who has excellent communication skills and strong commitment to improving your technical skills. You’ll further have an appropriate qualification in and previous experience in a laboratory setting is essential.
