About ICT Services
The Austin Health Information Services Department is responsible for delivering applications to our customers which are intuitive and simple to use. We deliver strategic plans, thought leadership, education, training, customer assistance and customer support to make sure that all information systems improve work practices and help the hospital to deliver safe, efficient, effective, patient centred care.
About the role
An exciting opportunity currently exists for an enthusiastic and experienced LIS Support Officer to join our Application and Integration Service Group . As a member of the team, the roles responsibilities include:
- Self-motivated with the ability to learn and adapt to new software applications as they are introduced to the department.
- Daily support, maintenance and improvement of the LIS and Integration systems.
- Provide effective troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and vendors in introducing or improving application and integration functionality.
About you
To be successful in this role you must have:
- Experience in operating and managing LIS systems.
- Thorough understanding of and experience in Pathology operations, service requirements and associated regulatory requirements.
- Experience in supporting and developing HL7, API interfaces using Rhapsody.
- Excellent aptitude in learning new systems quickly.
- High level of written and verbal communication skills.
