About HR Shared Services
HR Shared Services forms part of the People and Culture Directorate and incorporates HR Services, Recruitment, Payroll, HRMIS & Austin Advantage Salary Packaging, providing a comprehensive range of human resource services to Austin Health. The HR Services team is responsible for the co-ordination of a decentralised employment service, providing comprehensive advice and support to managers and employees on the full range of employment functions, from recruitment through to termination. Regular and extensive liaison occurs with other units within People & Culture, particularly Payroll and Employees Relations, as well as internally within Austin Health with managers, employees, and external agencies.
About the role
As the HR Specialist, you will be required to provide consistent, accurate and timely support and advice across a wide range of operational aspects of HR to our employees and managers. You will engage with a range of end users to ensure that services and standards are met with their expectations.
You will support building manager capability in the areas of HR systems, processes, policies and procedures by providing coaching and advice, with a focus on organisational structure, position management and employee variations.
You will also contribute towards the development and implementation of HR programs and initiatives to meet the needs of the organisation, whilst always being on the lookout for opportunities for continuous improvement.
A regular day will see you:
- Provide HR Advice to employees and managers across a broad range of HR queries, interpreting Enterprise Agreements and Austin Health Policies
- Manage and resolve HR Service Desk enquired including Success Factors and UKG dimensions, contractual arrangements, rostering ensuring accuracy and timely outcomes
- Support establishment, position management and internal staff variations ensuring HR Systems and records are accurately maintained and compliant with reporting and governance requirements
- Contribute to People and Culture projects, training, change initiatives while supporting compliance, continuous improvement and mentoring of HR Advisors.
