Austin Health is the major provider of tertiary health services, health professional education and research across 3 campuses in the northeast of Melbourne and state-wide. Austin Health is world-renowned for its research and specialist work in cancer, liver transplantation, spinal cord injuries, neurology, endocrinology, mental health and rehabilitation.
An exciting opportunity currently exists for enthusiastic Medical Practitioners to join our Junior Medical Workforce as an HMO3 General commencing in August 2025.
Details of Department
Austin Health HMO3 General positions offer a variety of experiences including rotations in general, rehabilitation and intensive care medicine. HMO3s in the General stream also have the opportunity to rotate rurally to Mildura Base Hospital or Katherine District Hospital, NT. There is also the ability to complete your Diploma of Obstetrics, with a six-month clinical placement at the Mercy Hospital.
Details of position/position requirements
HMO’s in the General stream at Austin Health are able to complete a variety of rotations, including Emergency Medicine, General Medicine, Intensive Care Medicine, Cardiology and Rehabilitation Medicine. We are also able to offer six month rotation in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the Mercy Hospital for Women
To be successful in this role you must:
- Be registered (or able to be registered) with AHPRA,
- Be dedicated to delivering excellent patient care, and
- Be dedicated to teaching, training and developing strong well functioning teams
