- $104.1k – $118.9k base range + allowances + salary packaging + super (pro-rata for part time)

About the Radiology Department
The Austin Health Radiology Department offers a comprehensive range of diagnostic and interventional services and operates at both the Austin and Repatriation Hospitals, as well as providing a satellite imaging service to Royal Talbot Rehabilitation Centre. The nature of the work requires extended hours provision of service, and all staff are expected to contribute appropriately to cover the extended hours.
The Austin Hospital provides an extensive range of services to inpatient, ED and some Outpatient clinics. The range of services includes General X-ray, Fluoroscopy, Ultrasound, MRI, CT, Mobile and Theatre, Angiography, Cath Lab and Interventional procedures. All Austin campus imaging for ED patient, inpatient and outpatient X-ray, mobiles, theatre and CT is co-ordinated from our Emergency Radiology 24/7. The Heidelberg Repatriation Hospital provides radiology services to all remaining Outpatient clinics as well as externally referred patients and some inpatients. The range of services includes General X-ray, Ultrasound, Mammography, CT, Fluoroscopy, Mobiles and Theatre.
The department also provides education and training for Medical Imaging Technologists and other staff, and also conducts and contributes to research activities. The Department itself is very welcoming, cohesive and supportive amongst the various staffing groups within Radiology and a pleasure to work in.
About the role
An exciting opportunity currently exists for an enthusiastic and experienced Medical Imaging Technologist to join our Radiology Department as Grade 3 Radiographer to support Angiography and Fluoroscopy services. In conjunction with the Grade 4 supervisor, you would be helping to lead and manage these imaging services whilst supporting the staff and training requirements. Classification increment as per award and dependent on experience level. Relevant post graduate qualification would be highly advantageous but is not essential. Advertising will close early if ideal candidate is found prior.
A regular day will see you:
- Performing an 8 hour shift in a dynamic 24/7 hospital environment alongside exceptional team members
- Undertaking routine and specialised medical imaging procedures using modern equipment and technology
- Leading and/or contributing to staff development, education and quality improvement
- Liaising with other staff to ensure current and future service needs are met
About you
As a Grade 3 Radiographer, you will be someone who has excellent communication and technical skills, with a strong commitment to excellence in patient care. You’ll bring energy and drive to your work, and have a keen interest in developing your skillset and that of others.
