About the Physiotherapy Department:

The Physiotherapy Department is committed to promoting the highest levels of care for our patients. In realising this goal, the department will lead and excel in research, teaching and the use of person-centred evidence-based practice. The department provides services on all three campuses of Austin Health, from the Emergency Department through to bed-based services and ongoing ambulatory care.

 

About the role:

Working in the Austin Health Physiotherapy department you will work collaboratively with the treating clinicians and wider physiotherapy department to provide safe, effective, patient centred care.

A day in the role will see you:

· Apply theory to education practice, consult on education issues, engage in educational scholarship

· Embed evidenced based education methods into teaching and learning activities including clinical supervision

· Engage with physiotherapy learners at all levels undergraduate, new graduate, early career and advanced career stages

· Assist in implementation of the physiotherapy department education plan

· Contribute to planning and development of ongoing physiotherapy department education initiatives

· Provide wholistic patient-centred care and maintain clinical practice currency across a broad range of clinical areas

About you:

We seek someone who provides excellent patient care and is committed to ongoing improvement in patient and staff experience. We value highly developed communication skills and an ability to interact with people from diverse backgrounds and learning stages.

This role requires you to have significant tertiary hospital clinical experience and significant exposure to pedagogical theory and principles of adult learning.
