About Cancer Clinical Trials Centre (CCTC)

The Cancer Clinical Trials Centre (CCTC) is a high‑performing, fast‑paced environment coordinating more than 250 active oncology and haematology clinical trials across Phase I–III. Recognised nationally for excellence in patient‑centred research operations, we work closely with world‑leading clinicians, multidisciplinary teams, sponsors and collaborators to deliver streamlined, safe and efficient trial activity.  

 

About the role 

We are seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Casual Ethics Submission Coordinator to support the ethics and governance activities required for initiating and maintaining cancer clinical trials. In this role, you will assist with preparing and tracking ethics and governance submissions, maintaining accurate documentation, and supporting communication between investigators, sponsors, and regulatory bodies. 

 

A regular day will see you:   

  • Preparing and coordinating ethics and governance submissions (lead, participating and single‑site) 
  • Maintaining high‑quality study documentation and accurate records 
  • Liaising with study coordinators, investigators, sponsors and internal departments 
  • Assisting with post‑approval submissions (amendments, safety notifications, annual reports) 
  • Updating departmental trackers, site files and SharePoint folders 
  • Supporting smooth study start‑up and efficient trial operations 

 

About you 

As the Casual Ethics Submission Coordinator, you will be someone who has excellent communication skills, with a strong commitment to excellence in patient care. You’ll bring energy and drive to your work, and have a keen interest in developing your skillset. You are enthusiastic, organised and committed to delivering high‑quality administrative support within a research environment.  

 

To be successful in this role you’ll bring with you:

  • Understanding of cancer/biology with relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience 
  • Knowledge of clinical research ethics and governance frameworks (including National Mutual Acceptance) 
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to interpret technical information 
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and document management systems 
  • Ability to build productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders 
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy 
  • A positive, flexible and team‑oriented approach
