About Cancer Clinical Trials Centre
The Cancer Clinical Trials Centre (CCTC) is a high‑performing, fast‑paced environment coordinating more than 250 active oncology and haematology clinical trials across Phase I–III. Recognised nationally for excellence in patient‑centred research operations, we work closely with world‑leading clinicians, multidisciplinary teams, sponsors and collaborators to deliver streamlined, safe and efficient trial activity.
About the role
We are seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented ethics professional to join our Ethics Team. This single vacancy may be appointed at Ethics Submission Coordinator (HS3), or Senior Ethics Submission Coordinator (HS4) depending on the successful candidate’s experience, competencies, and ability to meet the requirements of the applicable position description.
In this role, you will coordinate ethics and governance submissions for cancer clinical trials, support lead and participating site activity, maintain high‑quality documentation, and foster strong communication with study teams, sponsors and regulatory bodies.
A regular day will see you:
- Preparing and submitting ethics and governance applications (lead, participating and single‑site)
- Liaising with investigators, sponsors, CROs, and external vendors and internal departments
- Ensuring timely distribution of approved documents and maintaining accurate study files
- Supporting post‑approval amendments, reports, deviations and safety notifications
- Maintaining trackers, documentation, and shared resources
- Contributing to process improvement and a collaborative team cultureHS4 applicants may also undertake training/mentoring, contract and budget negotiation, and provide authoritative advice
About you
You are an organised, proactive clinical research professional with a commitment to high‑quality ethics and governance processes. You communicate clearly, manage competing priorities effectively, and enjoy contributing to a high‑performing, supportive team.
To be successful in this role you’ll bring with you:
- Understanding of clinical research processes and ethics/governance frameworks (including NMA)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines
- Ability to build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and document management
- HS4 candidates will also have demonstrated senior‑level capability including experience in ethics submission coordination, contract/budget negotiation, and/or training/mentoring.
