About the department

CREDO is located at the Repatriation Hospital Campus of Austin Health and is tiered within the Medical Services Division. CREDO has a strong and successful history in conducting numerous clinical trials in metabolic disorders with a majority of the trials focusing on diabetes and obesity.

 

About the role 

CREDO continues to grow and thrive, enabling an exciting opportunity for an Endocrinology Sub Investigator to join the team in a part-time fixed- term position.  This position will suit a high-calibre doctor who is passionate about patient care, clinical research, and endocrinology.

 

The Endocrinology Research Sub - Investigator position provides an opportunity to work in a leading team in the discipline of diabetes (and its complications) / obesity / endocrinology / nephrology / Cardiovascular.  The successful candidate will fulfill the position of Clinical Trial Sub-Investigator across multiple Phase I to IV clinical trials in the CREDO Unit. This is an fixed term position working 4 hours per week. 

 

A regular day will see you:   

  • Manage the care of patients participating in clinical trials, ensuring compliance with the trial protocol, training and reporting requirements per ICH-GCP guidelines
  • Ensure accurate and timely source documentation and data entry, and the maintenance of essential documents that validate integrity in the conduct of the clinical trial
  • Liaise with the Principal Investigator, other Sub-investigators, Trial Manager and Coordinators and all the multidisciplinary team.
  • Supervision of patient recruitment, patient retention, data collection and assisting data analysis for patients participating in clinical trials

 

About you 

You will be someone who has excellent communication skills, with a strong commitment to excellence in patient care. You’ll bring energy and drive to your work, and have a keen interest in developing your skillset.

 

To be successful in this role you’ll bring with you:

  • Be a registered Medical Practitioner in Australia with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Have up-to-date knowledge and skills in diabetes and obesity, as appropriate
  • Demonstrates, understands and adheres to Good Clinical Practice
  • Demonstrates the ability to work in teams and collaborate
