About the Mental Health Division

The Mental Health Division at Austin Health provides care and services through a comprehensive range of teams to meet the needs of mental health consumers and carers throughout Victoria.  Services are located across Austin Health campuses and in the community.  The Mental Health Division incorporates three program areas:

  • Adult and Older Mental Health Services
  • Infant, Child and Youth Mental Health Services
  • Specialty Services

 

About the role

As the Divisional Manager, Specialty Services you will hold a formal operational leadership role and will be responsible and accountable for the operational performance, financial, quality and risk management of the Specialty Services portfolio, including the provision of day-to-day operational management support.

 

About you

A senior leader and strategic thinker, you will be key to managing all aspects of operational delivery of the Specialist Services program in the Mental Health Division. With an ability to provide clinical operations subject matter expertise, you will be someone who has demonstrated experience in the leadership and management of a health service function.

 

To be successful in this role you'll bring with you:

  • A relevant Tertiary level qualification
  • Extensive experience leading and managing healthcare services
  • Significant experience in the development of annual operational plans
  • The ability to lead and facilitate strategically aligned workplace change
  • Strong business and financial acumen with solid budget management
