About Mental Health Division
The Mental Health Division (MHD) provides care and services through a comprehensive range of teams to meet the needs of mental health consumers and carers throughout Victoria.
About the role
As a Senior Manager in the Mental Health Division, you will work collaboratively with a supportive team of professionals, who are passionate about providing best practice care for consumers. As a member of the executive team you will contribute to strategic planning and will champion the participation and leadership of people with lived experience at every level of the division.
A regular day will see you:
- Oversee the development of the lived experience voice in all Mental Health Division activities, including governance, operations, workforce business development recruitment quality and evaluation.
- Work in close collaboration with the MHD executive team to ensure responses to opportunities arising from the reforms place the lived experience voice at the centre, in keeping with the spirit of the reforms.
- Work with a large range of internal and external stakeholders, including internal corporate services and external community and clinical partners.
About you
You will be someone who has excellent communication skills, with a strong commitment to excellence in patient care. You’ll bring energy and drive to your work and have a keen interest in developing your skillset.
You’ll further have:
- Direct personal (lived) experience as a consumer of a person with mental illness who has required treatment in the Victorian Public Mental Health system.
- Relevant Tertiary Qualifications or equivalent 3 years’ experience in a leadership LLEW role.
- Well-developed understanding of contemporary trends and issues regarding mental health services from a Lived Experience consumer perspective.
