About Submission Services
Submissions Services are responsible for the collection, management and reporting of data to the Department of Health (DoH) for planning and funding purposes. This includes Elective Surgery Information System (ESIS), Victorian Emergency Minimum Dataset (VEMD), Victorian Admitted Episodes Dataset (VAED), Victorian Integrated Non-Admitted Health Dataset (VINAH) and the Agency Information Management System (AIMS).
About the role
An exciting opportunity currently exists for an enthusiastic and highly experienced Data Coordinator to join our Submissions Team. The Data Coordinator role is a full-time position, but part time applications may also be considered. Work with us!
The Data Coordinator role is a customer focused role and will actively engage with, and provide education and support, to all areas of Austin Health that submit data to any of the datasets or areas that use the data for internal and external reporting purposes.
About you
To be successful in this role you must be able to demonstrate the following:
- Good understanding of the data submission process and mandatory Victorian Healthcare datasets
- Data analysis and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Ability to communicate with staff from a range of professional backgrounds
- Good organisational, time management, written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in documenting policies, procedures and processes
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
This position would suit a Data Analytics or Health Information Management student wishing to gain foundational information on data submissions in a healthcare setting.
