  • 1 year Fixed term full time contract (40 hours per week with ADO), or less by negotiation

About the Austin Cancer Clinical Trials Centre (CCTC)  

Austin Health’s CCTC has a reputation of excellence with expertise in managing interventional therapeutic clinical trials from First-in-human Phase 1 to Phase 3. We have over 200 clinical trials in progress including Pharmaceutical Company sponsored, Collaborative Group and Investigator-initiated trials.  

 

About the role 

As the Clinical Trials Coordinator, you will become part of an established tumour stream team lead by a Team Leader. You will be responsible for the primary coordination of clinical trials and the management of patients on those trials. Yo will be involved in the delivery of direct and in-direct clinical-trial-related care of patients, associated data collection and maintenance of essential trial documents for concurrent studies.  

 

A regular day will see you: 

 

  • Coordinate and manage a number of trials concurrently 
  • Manage the care of patients participating in clinical trials, ensuring compliance with the trial protocol, reporting requirements and ethical guidelines
  • Ensure accurate and timely source documentation and data entry, and the maintenance of essential documents that validate integrity in the conduct of the clinical trial
  • Liaise with Principal Investigators, multidisciplinary team and Trial Monitors

 

About you 

To be successful in this role you'll bring with you: 

 

  • Registered Nurse (Division 1) with current AHPRA registration  
  • Oncology/Haematology nursing experience.  
  • Demonstrated excellence in patient management, organisation and communication.   
  • Excellent team working skills, with ability to work independently  
  • Developed computer literacy skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & Outlook)
