About the Centre for Research and Education in Diabetes and Obesity
The Centre for Research and Education in Diabetes and Obesity (CREDO) is located at the Repatriation Hospital Campus of Austin Health and is tiered within the Medical Services Division. CREDO has a strong and successful history in conducting numerous clinical trials in metabolic disorders with a majority of trials focusing on diabetes and obesity.
About the role
CREDO continues to grow and thrive, enabling another exciting opportunity for a Clinical Trials Assistant to join the team in a part-time fixed term position. We are seeking someone for 24 hours per week.
The Clinical Trial Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting a multi-disciplinary team conducting clinical research trials in the CREDO unit. This team includes the Principle Investigator, Research Manager, Sub-Investigators, Trial Coordinators and Administration Staff.
A regular day will see you:
- Providing administrative Support in the startup, execution, and close out of new and ongoing clinical sponsored and investigator-initiated trial.
- Maintain trial entry data, participant paper records, and electronic database programs.
- Responsible for laboratory and sample management.
About you
As the Clinical Trial Assistant, you will be someone who has excellent communication skills, with a strong commitment to excellence in patient care. You’ll bring energy and drive to your work, and have a keen interest in developing your skillset.
To be successful in this role you’ll bring with you:
- A degree in a relevant field (or currently working towards one) in a health or science discipline or relevant work experience in a clinical research environment.
- Highly developed planning and organizational skills, with experience in setting priorities, implementing improvements, and meeting deadlines under pressure.
- Ability to carry out all relevant study-related tasks, ensuring adherence to protocol and Good Clinical Practice (GCP).
