About Clinical Pharmacology

The Department of Clinical Pharmacology provides clinical services to inpatients and outpatients of Austin Health related to pharmacological presentations and issues, including hypertension, hypotension, cardiac failure and insulin resistance/diabetes.  The department also provides services to the Drug and Therapeutics Committee of Austin Health.

 

About the role

This provides an exciting opportunity for the Registrar to work with the other members of the department including the Clinical Pharmacologists.  The Registrar will attend the blood pressure and hypertension clinics, the Drug and Therapeutics Committee, the Medication Safety Committee and the Adverse Drug Reaction Committee.  The Registrar will provide services to inpatients and will attend to other duties as directed by the Clinical Director.

 

A regular day will see you:

  • Attend to patient referrals in a timely manner
  • Attend relevant clinics as required
  • Participate in relevant unit quality programs
