An exciting opportunity currently exists for a contemporary and highly experienced Mental Health Nurse to join the Mental Health Nursing Education and Training Team as a Clinical Nurse Educator.
In your role, as a Clinical Nurse Educator you will be pivotal in advancing mental health nursing care through evidenced based and contemporary nursing education and training.
About the role
- To work in partnership with the Senior Mental Health Nurse and Manager of Nursing Education Mental Health, Unit Managers and other members of the education team (including tertiary services and other external training programs) to support best clinical practice through development and delivery of an education program that are designed to increase mental health nursing knowledge, skill capacity, and improved patient outcomes.
- Provide professional supervision to support and ensure the effective delivery of quality clinical services.
- To participate and support the delivery of all the Early Career Nursing programs.
- To coordinate and provide nursing education and training activities, including promoting mandatory training and other training packages.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will bring with you:
- Post Graduate Qualification in Mental Health Nursing or equivalent
- Registered Nurse, Australia Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (APHRA)
- Vast mental health clinical experience in a range of clinical settings
- A thorough knowledge of the principles of clinical or professional supervision
- Highly developed communication and teaching skills to effectively support a wide range of nursing experience and skill level.
