An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic and experienced CSR Team Leader to join our Central Specimen Reception department at our Heidelberg Laboratory. Central Specimen Reception operates a 24-hour service, 7 days a week.

 

About this role

  • Position: Central Specimen Reception Team Leader
  • Hours per week: (38+ADO) 40 hours per week
  • Employment Status:  Permanent Full Time

 

This is a key role that works closely with the CSR Supervisor and Pre-Analytical Services Manager with varied responsibilities including the following:

 

  • Responsible of the quality and timeliness of the CSR processes of reception registration and specimen preparation
  • Provide training and support to CSR team members
  • Assist in rostering and co-ordinating the team across the central specimen reception department
  • Maintaining a high performing team through achieving KPI targets
  • Monitor and evaluate staff performance in related procedures
  • Provide direction and support to CSR team members across the network

 

To be successful for this role you must demonstrate: 

  • Previous experience in pathology
  • Previous experience leading and training teams
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to change with exceptional organisation skills
  • Experience with laboratory information systems and processes
  • Proficiency with Microsoft office suite
  • Knowledge and compliance to NATA and NPAAC standards
