About the Molecular Imaging and Therapy Department

The Molecular Imaging and Therapy Department operates at both the Austin and the Heidelberg Repatriation Hospitals and has four core service components, Nuclear Medicine imaging, Radionuclide therapy, Positron Emission Tomography (PET), and Bone Densitometry. The Department provides an extensive range of services to inpatient, emergency, and outpatient clinics, including a range of private referrals.

 

The Department is a rapidly changing environment with new technology, research, and service developments. The clerical staff work very closely with the Technologists and Medical Staff and are consistently reviewed for provision of efficient services, with regular changes to systems and processes required to maintain a high quality patient focused service.

 

About the role 

We are on the search for a Casual Administrator Officer to join our Molecular, Imaging and Therapy Department. The focus of the role requires you to be patient focused in the efficient delivery of customer service and administration. This position covers planned and unplanned leave in the Molecular Imaging and Therapy Department

 

A regular day will see you:   

  • Organising and scheduling inpatient and outpatient referral appointments, within appropriate timeframes
  • Managing enquiries from internal and external sources, which must be dealt with in a professional, efficient and effective manner
  • Utilising Austin Health IT Systems, to reference results, reports and other required data
  • Preparing data using Microsoft Office
  • Shifts across the Molecular Imaging and Therapy Department at the Austin and Heidelberg Repatriation Hospitals.

 

About you 

To be successful in this role you’ll bring with you:

  • Ability to work in a very busy office environment that deals with a large volume of administrative work alongside a front facing customer role
  • Ability to handle a fast paced environment with an even temperament
  • Ability to deal with many phone call enquiries
  • Previous customer service and/or health administration experience
