About the Cardiology Department
The Cardiology Department is responsible for the provision of an extensive range of cardiac services to inpatients and outpatients including general cardiology, electrophysiology, heart failure service, pulmonary hypertension service, echocardiography, cardiac catheterisation, interventional and structural heart procedures, and non-invasive diagnostic procedures.
An exciting opportunity currently exists for an enthusiastic Cardiac Non-Invasive Imaging Fellow to join our Cardiology Department for a 12-month Fellowship position from February 2027.
About the role
- Training will include performing/reporting laboratory procedures including TTE, TSE, DSE, TOE, Cardiac MRI & CT
- Attending outpatient clinics
- Research activities
- General cardiology duties
- Presentation of audits and topics in departmental educational meetings

About you
As the Cardiac Non-Invasive Imaging Fellow, you will be someone who has excellent communication skills, with a strong commitment to excellence in patient care. You’ll bring energy and drive to your work and have a keen interest in developing your skillset.
To be successful in this role you’ll bring with you:
- Be a registered Medical Practitioner in Australia with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Have appropriate training and experience applicable to the field of cardiology.
- A commitment to quality, excellence and best practice in the delivery of cardiac services to Austin Health’s patients.
- Demonstrated multidisciplinary engagement, teamwork and collaboration.
