About the Pharmacy Department

The Pharmacy Department Mission Statement is: Working together to provide optimum pharmaceutical care. Comprehensive pharmacy services are provided at the two main sites of Austin and Repatriation campuses and also to Royal Talbot Rehabilitation Centre.  Pharmacy staff participate in a coordinated work team via a roster system, and they work at different sites (as needed) in order to provide an integrated, high quality service to all pharmacy department consumers.

 

Our philosophy is to foster a learning environment and to promote teamwork as the best method to deliver day to day services, for both our consumers and individual staff members. 

 

About the role 

This position will require you to provide high-quality clinical pharmacy services to haematology/oncology patients in both the inpatient and ambulatory care setting through collaboration with the Cancer Services team. This is a full time, fixed term position for 12 months. Please refer to the position description for the full list of position responsibilities.

 

About you 

As the Cancer Services Pharmacist, You will be someone who has excellent communication skills, with a strong commitment to excellence in patient care. You’ll bring energy and drive to your work, and have a keen interest in developing your skillset.

 

To be successful in this role you’ll bring with you:

  • Well-developed clinical pharmacy knowledge and skills (preferably in cancer services).
  • Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative, innovation and attention to detail.
  • Relevant post-graduate qualification.
