About Mary Guthrie House:

A unique, state-wide multi-component neuropsychiatry unit providing individualised, slow stream recovery support to adults with an Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) or neurodegenerative condition, and associated mental illness, including responsive behaviours. The unit has a neuropsychiatric rehabilitation focus, working collaboratively with consumers to improve and maintain functional independence and to live their best life, as they define it.

 

About the role:

The Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) is a recognised clinical leader within the inpatient nursing team, working closely with the NUM and medical leads to ensure the provision of evidence-based nursing care and foster a positive team culture.

 

A regular day will see you:

· Deliver high quality nursing care

· Provide oversight and leadership of daily operations in the unit

· Share clinical expertise through role modelling, and provision of guidance and supervision

· Actively contribute to team culture and a safe working environment

· Work collaboratively with consumers, families, carers and key stakeholders

· Contribute to ongoing evaluation and improvement initiatives and portfolio work, in collaboration with leadership

· A commitment to recovery orientated practice

· Demonstrated leadership skills

· Experience and confidence in clinical de-escalation

· A keen interest in working in a neuropsychiaty program
