About the role

Reporting to the Head of Philanthropy, you will be responsible for the development and execution of Austin Health’s annual giving strategies, particularly the implementation of appeals, including direct mail and digital solicitations. You will be responsible for working with executive leaders and clinical staff at Austin Health to identify opportunities for funding that would meet the requirements for effective appeals and fulfil the strategic priorities for Austin Health.   

A regular day will see you:

 

  • Manage annual giving appeals and stewardship programs
  • Secure new, renewed, or increased funding from individuals through online giving, direct mail and digital campaigns
  • Engage directly with staff, patients and donors to create compelling campaign content
  • Collaborate to develop content to deliver our Vitality donor newsletter
  • Apply data insights to implement innovative ways to attract new supporters and diversify donor engagement channels

 

About you

You will be a highly organised fundraiser who is passionate about working on transformational projects in healthcare. You’ll also bring with you:

 

  • The ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Strong project management skills,
  • Experience working collaboratively with donors, and develops strong working relationships with external stakeholders, including suppliers
  • High level computing skills and an understanding of the importance of a donor database are also essential.
