About the Clinical Education Unit (CEU).

The CEU is committed to promoting the highest level of clinical education to our workforce to allow them to provide excellent care, and support their career development. In realising this goal, the CEU lead clinical teaching by using evidence-based practice with a focus on work-integrated learning practices to provide clinical education with impact. The CEU provides services to staff across all three campuses of Austin Health.

 

About the role

The Allied Health Clinical Educator will support and facilitate the delivery of clinical education which is innovative and responsive to the needs of Allied Health Professionals and enhances contemporary and emerging clinical and professional practice.    This role will work with the centralised Grade 4 and Grade 5 AH Educators to support the discipline-based education leads. 

A regular day will see you:

  • Teach a range of programs and sessions to both AHP's and staff from other clinical disciplines
  • Consult with discipline specific staff to develop educationally effective programs
  • Build eLearning programs
  • Facilitate the sharing of good educational practice across multiple disciplines.
  • Engage with state-wide AHCE staff for networking, support and educational resource development.

 

About you

You will be someone who has excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to excellence in clinical education. You'll bring energy and drive to your work and have a keen interest in developing your skillset.

 

You'll further bring with you:

  • An Allied Health qualification and current AHPRA registration or professional membership
  • Experience in clinical education
  • Preferably a post-graduate clinical education qualification
  • The desire to work collaboratively across Allied Health disciplines
