Allied Health Assistant (AHA) - Transition Care Program
- Position located at Heidelberg Repatriation hospital, working with clients at our partner Aged Care Facility and in the community.
- Fixed Term 12 month contract
- 3 days a week - no weekend work
- Supervision from supportive Allied Health Professionals
About the Transition and Restorative Care Programs
The Transition and Restorative Care Programs sit within Aged Care Community Services as part of the Continuing Care Division at Austin Health. The programs are committed to providing high quality safe care for patients while helping them achieve their goals. The programs are provided in both residential and community settings.
About the Role:
The AHA will work as part of the multidisciplinary team within the Transition and Restorative Care Programs, providing client-centred care to patients under the delegation of an allied health professional. This role will involve therapy provision to clients in their home and at our residential site, maintenance of equipment, and other essential administrative tasks required to meet the needs of the patients and program. This role will provide you with clinical supervision from an experienced allied health professional, and the variety of tasks that underpin the role will help you to grow and develop as a clinician.

You will be someone who has excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to excellence in patient care. You’ll bring energy and drive to you work, and have a keen interest in developing your skillset.
You'll further have:
- A passion to work with and help clients achieve their goals
- A willingness to work as part of the Allied Health and wider TCP team
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong time management skills
- An ability to problem-solve and think outside the square.
