About the  Emergency Department

The Emergency department is committed to promoting the highest level of care for our patients. In realising this goal, the department will lead and excel in research, teaching and the use of person-centred evidence-based practice. The Emergency Department has over 89,000 presentations a year, making it one of Victoria's busiest Emergency departments.

 

About the role 

We are seeking an Administrator with experience in customer service, and administration duties to join our Emergency Department. This is a customer service focused role and the shifts cover afternoon and night shift including weekends. We are a 24/7 department and availability and flexibility for all hours are essential for this role.

 

The primary objective of this role is to provide professional, customer-focused, and efficient administration functions to enhance patient care and service delivery.

 

You will be the first point of contact for patients. The administration team supports all other clinical teams in the department. This includes our Short Stay Observation Unit, and Paediatrics. We also provide broader support across the hospital including, inpatient ward admissions, transfers, and discharges.

 

About you 

To be successful in this role you must be able to demonstrate excellent general administrative skills.
