About the Division of Surgery, Anaesthesia & Procedural Medicine
The Division of Surgery, Anaesthesia & Procedural Medicine (SAPM) is responsible for the management and coordination of surgery, gastroenterology and cardiology services. Emergency and planned procedures are delivered to 35,000 patients per year across two sites, in 19 operating theatres, two procedure rooms, four endoscopy suites and two catheter laboratories by more than 1,750 staff.
About the role
This is a front facing role where you will be engaging with patients, their families, medical representatives and other visitors to the operating suites. Working closely with wards and specialty units, you will contribute to critical administrative tasks while supporting a smooth and seamless patient journey. You will work across multiple workstations performing duties relative to that area with varied hours to meet service demands.
About you
As the Administrative Officer, you will be someone who has excellent communication skills, a strong commitment to excellence and ability to work within a team as well as independently. You’ll bring energy and drive to your work and have abilities to work within a changing environment.
To be successful in this role you’ll bring with you:
- Highly organised with the ability to prioritise work and multi-task in a busy environment
- The ability to follow a prescribed workflow
- Ability to problem solve and attention to detail
- Proficiency and digital literacy expertise including the MS Office Suite
